The exhibition "From Zero to Infinity", featuring my work Interpreter #2, continues at the Yancheng Art Museum in China, following its previous run in Shanghai.

Interpreter #2
오래된 텔레비전을 닮아, 가구처럼 삶의 공간에 빛의 중심으로 자연스럽게 놓이는 미디어 아트 설치 작품이다. 8×8 배열의 따뜻한 빛 전구 64개가 한 번에 하나의 영어 알파벳이나 기호를 보여주며, 관람자는 멈추고 바라보며 의미를 해석하는 경험을 하게 된다.
“Pause. Then Perceive.”라는 메시지를 중심에 둔 이 작품은, 빠르게 흘러가는 일상 속에서 우리가 잊고 지내는 소통의 본질에 대해 질문을 던진다. 중요한 것들은 늘 당신 주변에 있다. 멈추어 서서 바라보면 들리기 시작하고 보이기 시작한다. 미묘하지만 그 미묘함에 반응하며 중요한 메시지들과 마주하는 시간을 제안한다.
Resembling an old television, Interpreter #2 is a media art installation that sits naturally in a living space—like a piece of furniture—becoming a quiet center of light. Its 64 warm lights, arranged in an 8×8 grid, reveal one English letter or symbol at a time, inviting viewers to pause, observe, and interpret.
Anchored by the message “Pause. Then Perceive.”, this work raises a question about the nature of communication that often fades in the rush of everyday life.
The essential things are always around you. When you pause and look, you begin to hear—begin to see. It offers a space to encounter subtle, yet meaningful messages, and to respond to their quiet presence.
